Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television series. Her family fled Afghanistan, and sought asylum in the US. The actress was born there. She was brought up to a young age in Northern Virginia and is the third child with two older sisters. Ghanizada started her camera work by appearing in numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada was portrayed by Chiara in the Laura Neri production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of her performance, she won in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for the Best Actress Award. Television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. She most recently had a supporting role in the science-fiction action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the independent comedies You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was a part of her role in the General Hospital spinoff General Hospital, which aired on prime time television. In the second season, Night Shift, Ghanizada was Dr. Saira Bhatra who is an holistic physician. Ghanizada appeared as Kelly, the Prada character in HBO's Entourage. She also joined in the cast of the upcoming TV show's pilot Tough Trade created by Weeds creator Jenji Kuhan as well as the executive producers T Bone Burnett.
