Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. When she was just nine years old, her ability to speak two languages has allowed her to get an employment in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. In Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. She's older than her sister. She has an older sister. Her parents divorced soon after in 1995. Her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job alongside her elder sister. Still a senior at high school, but with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta was able to visit her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. In the end she was enthralled with the campus. And they offered her an academic major. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the university. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was member of her class, developed an ongoing relationship with her. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm in Journalism touched her deeply.
